The first Battle Royale Tournament Event will commence in September and will feature LASERTRON’s newest and most advanced real-world gaming experience.

LASERTRON’s Game System and Programmable LED-Illuminated Arena will control 100% of the game experience from start to finish.

How do I qualify for a Tournament Event?

To qualify for a Tournament Event, simply sign-up for a Tournament Qualifying Session. Tournament Qualifying Sessions will be available throughout the two weeks leading up to the Tournament Event. Players in the Tournament Qualifying Sessions compete in a series of qualifying rounds to become a Sole Survivor. The Sole Survivor of each qualifying round then goes on to compete at the Tournament Event.

Adult and Youth Tournament Events are typically held every two weeks and alternate between our Buffalo and Rochester Centers.

Buffalo’s Tournament Events are typically played on the 1st and 3rd Saturday at 6:00 p.m. for the Youth Tournament and 8:00 p.m. for the Adult Tournament.

Rochester’s Tournament Events are typically played on the 2nd and 4th Saturday at 6:00 p.m. for the Youth Tournament and 8:00 p.m. for the Adult Tournament

Cash Prizes will be awarded to the Top 4 Adult Tournament finishers and the Purple Storm Leader. The Top 4 Adult Tournament finishers will also receive Gold, Silver, Bronze, and 4th place medals. The Purple Storm Leader will receive the Purple Storm Leader medal.

Gold, Silver, Bronze, and 4th Place Medals will be awarded to the Top 4 Youth Tournament finishers. The Purple Storm Leader will receive the Purple Storm Leader medal.

Adult Tournament players must be 18 years and older to participate.

Youth Tournament players must be 12 to 17 years old to participate.

QUALIFICATIONS OF PARTICIPANTS

  • All players must be 18 years and older to qualify for and participate in an Adult Tournament Event
    All players must be between the ages of 12 to 17 to qualify for and participate in a Youth Tournament Event
  • All participants must have either:
    (i) an active 30-Day Player card;
    (ii) Silver membership; or
    (iii) Gold membership to LASERTRON
  • LASERTRON employees are not eligible to participate

How do I sign-up for a Tournament Qualifying Session?

  • Simply make a reservation online or in person to play in a Tournament Qualification Session for the Tournament Event you are looking to compete in. Be sure to reserve at either the LASERTRON Buffalo Center, the LASERTRON Rochester Center, or both centers where you intend to qualify for the Tournament Event you’ve chosen. You must make sure your session time or times are paid for at least 30 minutes prior to the start of the Tournament Qualifying Session(s).
  • After a Tournament Qualifying Session is full, additional Tournament Qualifying Sessions may be opened for additional players, but only if additional session times are available. Additional players must reserve and pay for these additional Tournament Qualifying Sessions at least 30 minutes prior to that session's start.

Maximum Participants Per Qualifying Session

  • Each Qualifying Session shall not have more than 40 Players.


Tournament Qualifying Sessions

  • Qualifying Sessions will be held throughout the week at various times*

    • Adult Qualifying Sessions - Monday - Thursday 8:00 p.m.

    • Adult Qualifying Sessions - Friday - Sunday 8:00 p.m., 9:00 p.m., and 10:00 p.m.

    • Youth Qualifying Sessions - Monday - Thursday 6:00 p.m.

    • Youth Qualifying Sessions - Friday - Sunday 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.

  • Each Qualifying Session will consist of a minimum of five (5) Rounds, with each Session lasting approximately 24 to 26 minutes.
  • Players who win a Round qualify to participate in the Tournament Event held every two weeks for the location they qualified in.
  • Players may win more than one Round in each Qualifying Session.
  • The Top 20 players who accrue the most Sole Survivor round-wins from their Qualifying Sessions will automatically get a bye and be in the coveted Final Tournament Round. If there is a tie for the 20th spot, the player who won his or her round first gets the spot.
  • Total rounds won by each qualifying player will be updated to the Tournament Website within minutes of each completed session.

Qualifying Round Scoring and Rules

  • The Sole Survivor of each round shall be declared the winner of that round. Any winner of a round will qualify for the Tournament Event.
  • The High Score Purple Player (aka Storm Leader) does not qualify for the Tournament Event.
  • Each round will have at least one referee, whose decisions and calls on player conduct are final. Qualified LASERTRON staff will serve as referees.
  • If a LASERTRON staff member has a family member participating in a Qualifying Session, they will not be allowed to be a referee during that Qualifying Session or any Tournament Event rounds.
  • LASERTRON Official Rules and Regulations will be posted on the LASERTRON Buffalo and Rochester, New York, websites.


Battle Royale Tournament Events

The Buffalo and Rochester LASERTRON locations each have their own Tournament Event Dates. Since Buffalo and Rochester’s Tournament Event Dates are held on alternating Saturdays, players are welcome to qualify for each Tournament Event by winning a qualification round at each location.

Buffalo’s Tournament Events are typically played on the 1st and 3rd Saturday at 6:00 p.m. for the Youth Tournament and 8:00 p.m. for the Adult Tournament.

Rochester’s Tournament Events are typically played on the 2nd and 4th Saturday at 6:00 p.m. for the Youth Tournament and 8:00 p.m. for the Adult Tournament.

Tournament Events Final Round(s)

  • The Top 20 players who accrue the most Sole Survivor round-wins from their Qualifying Sessions will automatically get a bye and be in the coveted Tournament Event’s Final Round. If there is a tie for the 20th spot, the player who won his or her round first gets the spot.
  • If the Tournament Event’s Final Round consists of 40 players or less, there will only be one Final Battle Royale Round. The Sole Survivor of that Final Round shall be declared the 1st place Tournament Event winner.
  • If the Tournament Event Final Round is greater than 40 players, there will be 1 or more Elimination Rounds. The top 4 finishers of each Elimination Round will advance to the Tournament Event’s Final Round. The Sole Survivor of that Final Round shall be declared the 1st place Tournament Event winner.

Adult Tournament Events - Final Round Winner Payouts

(Minimum Total Cash Prize Money of $500 per Final ‘Adult’ Battle Royale Tournament Round (the “Prize”). All players must be 18 years old or older.)

  • First Place “The Sole Survivor” receives 50% of Total Cash Prize Money plus Gold Medal
  • Second Place receives 25% of Total Cash Prize Money plus Silver Medal
  • Third Place receives 15% of Total Cash Prize Money plus Bronze Medal
  • Fourth Place receives 6% of Total Cash Prize Money
  • Purple Storm Leader receives 4% of Total Cash Prize Money

Youth Tournament Events - Final Round Winner Medals

  • First Place “The Sole Survivor” receives Gold Medal
  • Second Place receives Silver Medal
  • Third Place receives Bronze Medal
  • Fourth Place receives 4th Place Medal
  • Purple Storm Leader receives Purple Storm Leader Medal

Prizes and medals will be handed out to winners approximately 30 minutes following the Tournament Event’s Final Round. Adult Winners must provide a Driver's License or Official ID with Date of Birth and Home Address and Phone Number. Social Security Number may be required to receive an IRS Form 1099 for any Prize received.

  • Winners' names will be posted online at each participating center’s website.

Battle Royale Rules and Regulations (the "Official Rules")

  1. All players are to be in the briefing room 15 minutes prior to the scheduled start of a Tournament Qualifying Session. Any late arrival will not be permitted to compete in the Qualifying Session.
  2. On the Tournament Event day, all players must be signed-in at least 30 minutes prior to the start of any Elimination Round(s) and the Final Round. Any late arrival will not be permitted to compete in the Tournament Event.
  3. All players competing in a round must remain inside the arena at all times during the Session.
  4. Players intentionally covering up sensors will be immediately disqualified from the round. A second infraction of covering up a sensor will result in player disqualification from the Tournament Qualifying Session and Tournament Event.
  5. Intentional physical contact will result in player disqualification.
  6. Any tampering with the game, equipment, or arena components will result in the disqualification of the player or players involved.
  7. No use of foul, offensive, or derogatory language. Continued use after a warning will result in player disqualification.
  8. All decisions by the referees are final.
  9. All players must start within the Sectors designated by the Game System.
  10. Climbing or other abuse of arena obstacles will result in the disqualification of the player responsible from the Tournament Qualifying Session and Tournament Event.
  11. If a player is penalized during any round for any infraction, they will recharge as a Purple Storm Player.
  12. Any negative sportsmanlike conduct will result in player disqualification from the Tournament Qualifying Session and the Tournament Event. This includes but is not limited to intimidation or abuse.
  13. All players must wear the following at a minimum: Shorts/Pants, Shirt, Covered Shoes, and Socks.
  14. All players must have at least one foot on the ground at all times. Any rolling, lying on the ground, climbing, or jumping is not allowed.
  15. The head referee can disqualify any players from a Tournament Qualifying Session or Tournament Event if any action of a player or players is unsafe or gives an unfair advantage.
  16. Players in the Tournament Qualifying Rounds and Tournament Event must have an active 30-Day Player Card, active Silver Membership Card, or an active Gold Membership Card in their name.
  17. All players must also follow any additional instructions provided by the Referee, Briefing Video, or Signage. Failure to follow any instructions or rules may result in the disqualification of the offending player or players from the Tournament Qualifying Session and Tournament Event.

Right to Cancel or Suspend Tournament Event

  • If for any reason the Tournament Event is not capable of running as planned, due to technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of LASERTRON, LASERTRON reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify, reschedule, or suspend the Tournament Event. If LASERTRON elects to cancel or terminate the Tournament Event, LASERTRON will return the entry fees submitted by each player for the Tournament Event they were to participate in.

Data Privacy

  1. Players agree that personal data, especially names and addresses, photos, may be processed, shared, and otherwise used for the purposes and within the context of the Tournament Qualification Session(s), and Tournament Event(s) and any other purposes outlined in these Official Rules. The data may also be used by LASERTRON in order to verify the player's identity, postal address, and telephone number or to otherwise verify the player's eligibility to participate in Tournament Qualification Session(s), and the Tournament Event(s).
  2. Players have the right to access, review, correct, or cancel any of their personal data submitted to LASERTRON by writing to LASERTRON at Privacy@LASERTRON.us. Personal data will be used by LASERTRON and its affiliates exclusively for the purposes stated herein.
